Las Vegas is a popular tourist and convention destination with no shortage of hotels to choose from, especially on the famous Las Vegas Strip, which is located close to UNLV (though not within a comfortable walking distance).
If you would like to stay somewhere that is walking-distance to UNLV, consider these options:

Rideshare and Taxicab Pickup/Drop-off Locations at UNLV
A number of designated pickup and drop-off locations on the UNLV Main Campus are available for rideshares and taxicabs. The Lied Library Pick up/Drop Off location in the center of campus will get you closest to the conference activities.
UNLV Parking Options
Parking permits are required Monday through Thursday from 7 am to 7 pm and Friday from 7 am to 1 pm Daily permits can be purchased in-person through the office of Parking and Transportation Services.
A metered lot specifically for visitors, “Lot V,” is located at the main entrance of the campus at Maryland Parkway and Harmon Avenue. Metered parking costs $1.50 per hour through Pay By Phone. Metered parking is also available in various lots throughout the campus. Additionally, stalls designated for handicapped parking are available. View a parking map for more details.
You can park in “Lot S” just off Harmon Avenue and Swenson Street, south of the track, for free.
